Each limited-edition canvas is recorded in the Ilana McBain Registry of Authenticity & Provenance and supplied with a signed Certificate of Authenticity identifying the artwork and its individual edition number.
The registry maintains a private record of provenance throughout the life of the work. If ownership changes in the future, the new collector can be registered with the Studio and an updated record of provenance issued.

This one came from something I’ve always found fascinating about women together.
There is a particular kind of ease between good girlfriends — the way you can sit close without needing to talk, borrow each other’s things, disagree, laugh, judge the world a little, and somehow still understand each other completely.
I wanted these three women to feel like they each had their own personality. One is looking out, one is turned away, one has that wonderfully self-possessed confidence that says she knows exactly who she is. They are together, but they are not the same.
The bright swimwear, oversized sunglasses and beach ball give the work a playful, almost cinematic feeling, but underneath that I think it is really about friendship — the kind built from shared summers, private jokes and knowing someone long enough that silence is comfortable.
Girlfriends on the Beach makes me smile because it reminds me that some of the best moments in life are not the big ones. Sometimes it is simply being somewhere beautiful with people who know you well.
